Rock Chick Renegade is book 4 in the Rock Chick series by Kristen Ashley.  Here is the blurb.

But Jules makes some bad guys pretty angry and one is dedicated to taking her out. Vance and the Hot Bunch have to pull out all the stops to keep her alive. At the same time, Jules and Vance learn the true meaning of home but once they find this precious entity they’ve been searching for all their lives, will Jules’s enemies tear it away?

Ever since we met him in the first Rock Chick book I was extremely excited to get to Vance’s story and he didn’t disappoint.  Vance is Native American hot guy with long black hair pulled back in a ponytail.  He rides a Harley is very mysterious, very good at doing his job and is very much a bad ass….*swoon*.  Ooh sorry guys I got side tracked a bit.  We don’t know a lot about Vance from reading the earlier books escept that he is the tall, dark, handsome and silent type but we find out all about his childhood in Rock Chick Redemption and I have to say it was a pretty shitty childhood so get the tissues ready.  But then he meets Juliet Lawler aka Jules aka The Law(her street name) and Vance’s life turns sweet.

This book is a little different to the others in the series, it is more serious.  Don’t get me wrong there is still the Rock Chick vibe going on with stun guns, cocktails and parties but there is also more to it with Jules and Vance’s backgrounds and the heartbreaking stories about the kids shelter where Jules works.  Whilst Vance is also from the hot bunch Nightingale stables he isn’t as cave man as the guys that have come before him and it was nice change to read this.  Jules is a great character she is one head crackin mamma jamma and also unlike the previous heroines isn’t stupid, she can handle herself.

Another fantastic book by Ms Ashley and a great addition to the Rock Chick family, I’m going to give Rick Chick Renegade 5 stars.
